Mixed-Integer Distributed Ant Colony Optimization of Dump Load Allocation with Improved Islanded Microgrid Load Flow

Dump load (DL) utilization at low demand hours in highly penetrated islanded microgrid is of great importance to offer voltage and frequency regulation. Additionally, flow (LF) convergence vital optimize the working states DL allocation problem. Hence, more analysis necessary highlight significance power regulation while observing influence LF on solution accuracy. This article proposes two techniques derived from backward/forward sweep (BFS), viz., general BFS (GBFS) improved special (SBFS-II). The latter based global shared between generating units, former has a approach by considering bus’s local voltage. optimal sizing sitting with optimum droop sets are determined using mixed-integer distributed ant colony optimization (MIDACO) new methods. problem was formulated minimize deviations as well losses. validated IEEE 69- 118-bus systems compared established metaheuristics. Results show that MIDACO SBFS-II GBFS speed accuracy, respectively. Furthermore, enhanced results an efficient management solution.
